Landfill & waterways
Yeah look, the state of play isn't great, we have a bit of a battle ahead of us. But, if we plant trees, recycle, consider our purchases carefully and choose reusable period products, our landfills and waterways will be on their way to looking a whole lot better. We are humbled and thrilled at the number of people choosing this small change to better our planet.
What is a menstrual cup?Shop All
Instead of absorbing your flow, like a tampon or pad, a menstrual cup catches and collects it. Fold the menstrual cup and insert it like a tampon without an applicator. Used correctly, you won't feel it. Most menstrual cups last for up to 8 hours.
What is period underwear?Shop All
They look like regular underwear, but they're designed to keep moisture away from your skin as they soak up blood. They are made with moisture-wicking fabric, made up of thousands of small filaments. These fibers trap liquid to keep it from leaking onto your clothes. They are easy to wash and reuse and are a highly popular choice for all ages.
What are reusable pads?Shop All
Reusable pads are made of highly absorbant fabrics including organic hemp and cotton. They are an alternative to disposable menstrual pads. Like disposable pads, you place them into your underwear and go about your day. The difference is that when reusable pads fill up, you rinse them off, wash them, and reuse them, instead of throwing them away.
“Call it serendipity, if it wasn’t for MyCup I’d still be on the pill, I’ve saved so much money and helped family members save too by gifting them one, MyCup has been a life changer! I went from full on 7 day Heavy periods and with MyCup it has minimised to 5-7 days. I’m able to go out and not have to stress if there is a bin to be able to throw out sanitary products, Life changer! Thank you MyCup”
"My first time with the cup was an absolute breeze, I had watched the video on the website and read the instructions. I wear the large cup on my first two days, then the smaller one for the other days. Starting with the cup has prompted me to become a completely waste free period person! This is a huge thing for me. I'm totally converted and couldn't imagine using tampons again."
“What started out as a move towards a more sustainable lifestyle quickly turned into a blanket of security and reassurance, because I NEVER had to run to the shops for tampons or pads again! I take my MyCup with me anywhere and everywhere I go. It is by far on the top ten things to have when travelling.”
